The Company
"Yakındogu" Construction & Trade Inc. has been present in Kalkan since 1997. As a firm we develop luxurious villas, apartments, hotels and renovate old buildings in the Kalkan region. We work with local lawyers for legal affairs such as sales contracts, deed transfers and we work with local banks for financing and payments. We develop architectural plans for the projects and use local workers and materials in the construction process. Please check our finished projects in Kalkan.
History
Yakindogu Construction & Trade Inc. was founded in 1971 then under the name of Ece Construction & Trade Inc. As the company established itself it provided project management services although since 1974 it worked mainly in construction facilities as a contractor.
In Bilecik, Bilecik Seramik Bilser Seramik Ltd, in Istanbul Avcılar Dokusan Plants and factories are the first realized constructions.

In 1975, the company moved abroad to Libya where, between 1976-79, it constructed 500 military dwellings in Voutya and a technical school in Sorman. In this period the company generated work worth of US$ 24M.

After reorganisation in 1979 the company became involved in even more construction work in Libya. This time it built 2000 houses as well as mosques, schools and the associated infrastructure in Bukrain, Vadibey, Ebuhadi; total value of US$ 125M.

In 1983, the company changing its name to Yakindogu Construction & Trade Inc. started t o work in local market, namely Turkey, as a constructor.

33 villas in Sapanca
Its achievements in this period of time involved 200 villas in Marmara Eregli, 29 villas in Kumburgaz Guzelce, 22 villas in Tuzla, 33 villas in Sapanca and 125 apartments units and many office buildings in different places in Nisantasi-Sisli area of Istanbul.
Also during this time the company was trading under the name of Pera Otelcilik and worked on a project concerning the construction and management of a hotel with 220 rooms.

In 1984, Yakindogu invested in agricultural facilities. A 10.000 m2 building plot with 4.000 m2 of greenhouse in Goksu/Anadoluhisari produced all kinds of flowers for home decoration and gardens.

In 1990, Yakindogu increased its business activities by founding Eta Labelling Inc. Eta provided its customers with printing and labelling machines. 30 engineers worked for the company and it controlled 65% of the Turkish market.

Yakındogu also became a shareholder of the Doysan Oil Industry, which was the leading sunflower oil producer of Turkey. Doysan was first saved from bankruptcy and then after much needed investments and reorganisation, production restarted. That year Doysan regained its position as one of the major producers of crude & refined oil supplying both the Turkish and export markets. After providing the necessary machinery, power supply and construction, Yakindogu returned to its main construction business.
Subsequently Yakindogu was involved in the buyout of Pat potato, an integrated plant in Adapazari. The company bought 50 % of the shares from Pankop the Turkish state owned sugar factories and sugar beet cooperatives. Once the reorganisation was completed, Yakindoğu sold its shares and is no longer shareholder in Pat Potato.

SINCE 1996 THE COMPANY HAS OPERATED FROM KALKAN ON THE SOUTH MEDITERRANEAN COAST OF TURKEY.
